How to close registration at a deadline

Updated 2026-07-02

To close registration at a deadline, set a close date and time on the form. Jupiter Signup stops accepting sign-ups the moment it passes and shows a closed message, enforced on the server so you never have to remember to switch it off.

Paid on Stripe, 2% fee, no monthly cost.

Steps

  1. 1 Set the deadline Tell the builder when to stop, for example "close sign-ups on Friday at 5pm" or "registration ends the day before the event".
  2. 2 The form closes itself At the deadline the form stops accepting sign-ups and shows a clear closed message; the cutoff is enforced on the server.
  3. 3 Reopen or extend by chatting Change your mind? Adjust or remove the deadline in plain language and the form updates immediately.

Frequently asked questions

Is the deadline enforced automatically?

Yes. The cutoff is checked on the server, so the form closes on time even if you're not watching, and can't be beaten by a late submission.

Can people still see the page after it closes?

Yes. The page stays up and shows a closed message rather than 404-ing, so links you shared still land somewhere sensible.

What does Jupiter Signup cost?

There is no monthly plan. It takes a flat 2% of what you collect, on top of Stripe's normal processing fee. A sign-up that does not charge is free.
