Why my form says sign-ups aren't open yet, and how to open it

If your form has a price, it stays closed until you choose how you'll get paid, so no one can submit a form that couldn't take their payment. Until you pick a method, visitors see "Sign-ups aren't open yet." Here's how to open it.

The quickest way: in the builder's chat, the box How do you want to get paid? (on a phone, One step left: how you get paid) has the same choices. Or:

Steps

1. Open the form from My forms and go to the Setup tab.
2. Under Get paid, choose one. Paid at sign-up: Cards through Stripe or PayPal and Venmo, paid into your own account. Collect it yourself: your Venmo, Cash App, PayPal.me, Zelle, or cash. Or Don't collect payment if you're settling up another way.
3. That's it, the form opens for sign-ups right away. If you haven't connected Stripe or PayPal or saved a handle yet, it takes you there first, and the form opens as soon as you finish.

If you've connected Stripe or PayPal, a new form with prices starts on it, so it's open from the start. Any form that isn't taking sign-ups shows a Closed tag on My forms, with the reason.
