How to close a form right now

Switch off Open for sign-ups in Setup, or say "close the form" in chat. The link then shows that the form is closed.

Updated 2026-10-19

You can close a form at any moment, for example when you're full or the event is over. The link keeps working, but anyone who opens it sees "This form is closed" and a note that it isn't accepting sign-ups right now, instead of the form. It's enforced on the server, so a page someone already had open can't sneak a sign-up in either.

Steps

  1. On My forms, tap the Open label next to the form's name and confirm. Or open the form, go to Setup and switch off Open for sign-ups, the first thing at the top. Or say "close the form" in chat.
  2. The top of Setup then says Closed to sign-ups. Results and My forms say Closed too.
  3. To open it again, tap Closed on My forms, switch it back on in Setup or Results, or say "reopen it" in chat.

While it's closed you can add a short note that people see when they open the link, like "Full for this year, see you in the spring". It also shows on each person's change link. Write it in Setup under the switch, or ask in chat.

Everyone who already signed up keeps their spot, and Results still shows them. They can still cancel their own sign-up from their change link, but they can't change what they picked until you reopen it. Reminders keep going to them too, which is what you want when you're full. If the event is cancelled, see How to cancel an event.

Need to add someone yourself while it's closed? Tap Add someone in Results (or on the closed page while you're signed in). Only you can do it, and the spot limits still apply. To close it later on its own at a set time, set a deadline instead (below).
