For organizers: close sign-ups in chat, email people from the Download CSV list in Results, then refund in your own Stripe or PayPal.
Signed up for an event that was cancelled? See
I paid on a sign-up form and want a refund.
The money went straight to your own account, so refunds happen there. Jupiter Signup never
refunds anyone by itself, and closing or deleting a form doesn't send money back.
Steps
- From My forms, open the form and type in chat: "the event is cancelled,
close the form" (or switch off Open for sign-ups at the top of Setup).
The page switches to "This form is closed" so no one else can pay.
- Add a note for anyone who opens the link, like "Cancelled. Refunds are on their way." Type it
under the switch in Setup, or the builder writes it when you tell it the event is off.
- Turn off reminders, or everyone will still get them for the cancelled event: tap
Turn reminders off in the builder's reply or at the top of Setup (or say
"turn off reminders" in chat). Closing the form doesn't stop them.
- Open Results and tap Email everyone: your own email opens
with everyone signed up in BCC, so you can tell them yourself. Copy all emails
works too. Jupiter Signup doesn't send a message to everyone for you.
- Refund card payments in your Stripe dashboard (below). Results marks each one
Refunded on its own.
- Refund PayPal payments in your PayPal account, then change their row in Results.
- Pay back Venmo, Zelle, Cash App or cash however you normally would.
Refunding everyone in Stripe
- In Stripe's Payments
page you can tick several payments, even across pages, and refund them together. Bulk
refunds are full refunds only; refund part of a payment one at a time.
- Stripe pays refunds from your Stripe balance. If you've already been paid out, Stripe holds
card refunds until your balance covers them, or you can add funds.
- People usually see the money back in 5 to 10 business days. To have Stripe email them a
receipt, turn on Email customers for refunds in your Stripe
email settings.
- Fees aren't returned: Stripe keeps its processing fee and the 1% fee you paid us isn't
returned. Each person gets back the full amount you refund.

cancel payments.
