Can people cancel their own sign-up?

Yes, from the link in their confirmation, until they've paid or it has started. Cancelling never refunds anyone by itself.

Updated 2026-10-19

Everyone gets a private link, on their thank-you page and in their confirmation email, to change their picks or answers or to cancel. Spots are checked, so nobody can move into something full.

When they can't

  • Once they've paid (or said they've sent it), changes go through you, so their payment and their booking always match.
  • While a card or PayPal payment is still going through, after your sign-up deadline, or once it has started.
  • When you turn off Let people change their sign-up in Setup.

Anyone on the waitlist can leave it at any time with the same link.

What happens when someone cancels

They get an email saying it's cancelled (or that they've left the waitlist), and you get one too unless you've turned off Email me new signups. If it frees a spot while people are waiting, your email says who's next. No money moves: cancelling, or you removing someone in Results, never refunds anyone. See how to refund someone.
