How the fundraiser goal math works
The calculator works backward from your target: enter your goal and the average gift you expect, and it shows how many donors you need to get there. Add what you have already raised and it recalculates the donors still needed and how close you are to the finish line. Example: a $10,000 goal with an average $50 gift needs 200 donors; once you have raised $4,000, you need 120 more.
