How to take a deposit online

Updated 2026-07-02

To take a deposit online, set a deposit as the amount charged at sign-up and collect the balance later. Jupiter Signup holds the spot once the deposit is paid through your Stripe account, which is ideal for camps, programs, and big-ticket sessions.

Paid on Stripe, 2% fee, no monthly cost.

Steps

  1. 1 Describe the fee and the deposit Tell the builder the full price and the deposit, for example "$275 per week, $50 deposit to hold a spot".
  2. 2 Hold the spot on the deposit The sign-up is confirmed and the spot held when the deposit is paid on Stripe; the balance is due later, on the terms you set.
  3. 3 Collect the balance Track who still owes in the results view and collect the remainder before the start date.

Frequently asked questions

What does Jupiter Signup cost?

There is no monthly plan. It takes a flat 2% of what you collect, on top of Stripe's normal processing fee. A sign-up that does not charge is free.
