How to take PayPal and Venmo payments

Connect your PayPal once; people pay by PayPal or Venmo straight to you and the sign-up marks itself paid. No fee from Jupiter Signup.

Updated 2026-10-19

Connect your own PayPal once, and every form you set to PayPal takes payment as people sign up. The money goes straight into your PayPal, and the sign-up marks itself Paid in Results, so there is nothing to check off by hand.

Steps

  1. Open a priced form, go to Setup, and under Get paid choose PayPal and Venmo. (Or open the menu, choose Payments, and click Connect PayPal.)
  2. Log in with PayPal. This proves which account is yours, so money can't go to a mistyped email. You come back to your form and it's open for sign-ups.

What people see

  • They fill in the form and press the pay button. A pay screen opens with PayPal's buttons: their PayPal account, a card, or Venmo for US payers where PayPal offers it.
  • Their spot is held for about an hour while they pay, and the sign-up marks itself Paid as soon as it goes through. Until then Results shows them as Paying now, beside your sign-up count rather than in it; if they never finish, the row says Didn't finish paying and the spot opens up again.
  • Once it goes through they see their confirmation and get the confirmation email.

Fees and refunds

  • Jupiter Signup takes no fee on PayPal payments. PayPal's own fee comes out of your PayPal as usual.
  • Refunds happen in your PayPal account. A refund there doesn't update Results yet, so after refunding someone, change their row in Results yourself.

Already use Venmo or a PayPal.me link and happy to mark people paid yourself? That still works: choose Collect it yourself instead. See where to set up getting paid.
